| Category: | Childrens game |
| Players: | 2-6 (probably best with 5-6) |
| Play time: | 01:00 |
| Ages: | 8+ (Good as a childrens game) |
| Content: | 1 game board 6 pirate counters in tin 1 map in nine pieces 1 6-sided dice 1 6-sided shot dice (gives a hit in two of the sides) 1 mortar (cannon) 1 raft 1 treasure chest 1 ring to attach to the treasure chest |
| Game target: | First stage is to take the map pieces from the other players. When you have all the pieces, you know where the treasure is located (as you know which part Captain Kidd has swallowed = missing) and you can rush away to the hidden place to get the chest. In the third and last stage, you have to run away, either with the raft or with one of the rowing boats the player arrived with. All the time the other player can get the map pieces or the chest from you, so you need to be quick and careful. |

| Comments: | Quite fun to play with children, but too simple strategy with adults, but anyway quite
okey. If you see it as a more advanced "Ludo" and you want to play something
simple where you can be a bit nasty to each other, the game is perfect. Can understand
it's been a classic in Sweden. First year of publication is sometimes during the 60th's.
My publication is from 1984. (I don't know the English name of the game.) |
